Part-Time Web Editor
Worldpress.org is seeking a part-time Web Editor
Individual must be highly motivated and able to work independently. Knowledge of HTML, ColdFusion, and an interest in the international press is a must. A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail is crucial.
Primary responsibilities include developing features, writing "viewpoint" articles, sending out newsletters, helping to update and maintain Worldpress.org, and coding HTML for news stories.
Solid, demonstrated knowledge of Photoshop, HTML, Dreamweaver, ColdFusion, and Microsoft Word required. Must be comfortable learning new software/programs. Must be able to follow style guidelines (The New York Times Manual of Style and Usage).
We are especially interested in someone who can work with other programmers' code, has experience managing a web site, can work with our advertising management system, understands best practices such as Web standards and structured programming, and has an interest in developing and improving the Web site.
Your physical location is not critical, but the New York metropolitan area would be ideal.
