President Robert Mugabe of Zimbabwe has said that an unspecified number of Zimbabwean asylum seekers in Britain will be arrested and imprisoned when they are deported from that country.
Five female Zimbabwean asylum seekers, currently in Yarl's Wood Immigration Removal Center in Britain, have begun a hunger strike to protest their deportations to Malawi.
Is the biggest threat to inter-community relations in Britain today, in actual fact, have nothing to do with the faith question, but working class racism or discrimination against blacks and Asian Britons by the wider society?
The following narrative is based on visits to a British immigration detention center and gives insight into some of the pressures experienced by detainees and their friends and families.
