Michael Davies-Venn is a freelance writer, journalist and media consultant focusing on broadcast journalism and politics. He is originally from Freetown, Sierra Leone, West Africa and is based in the United States. Mr. Davies-Venn has worked as a media consultant with the United Nations; United Nations Development Programme and the U.N. mission in Sierra Leone UNIOSIL. He worked briefly with the BBC and has over a decade experience practicing broadcast journalism as a reporter, producer and host.

Mr. Davies-Venn graduated Summa Cum Laude B.Sc. (Hons) in mass communications and holds an MA in broadcast journalism from the University of Sheffield, UK. He was a stringer for the Associated Press (AP) and has won several first-place regional AP awards. He has also written for the British newspaper, Kent News.
