Egon Friedler
Professional/Personal Overview
Egon Friedler was born in Vienna, Austria, in 1932 and has lived since 1939 in Uruguay. He started his journalistic career in 1957 and he worked in different fields of journalism, like theatre, dance and classical music criticism, book reviewing, general interviews, essays on political and cultural subjects, current events analysis (mainly on the Middle East) and different subjects of Jewish interest.
He speaks and writes several languages and he has collaborated with newspapers and publications in the United States, Israel, England, France, Mexico, Venezuela, Brazil, Argentine, Chile and Uruguay. He published three books with selections of his articles. He is married, has two daughters and six grand-children.
